The Moscatel de Alejandría variety is the star of our white wines. El Cabo de la Nao, in the county of La Marina, is truly the ideal spot for growing this variety, which has been cultivated here for centuries. It is a unique landscape where the blue of the sea contrasts with the green of vineyards that live eternally facing the sea.
It is a head-pruned vineyard on small mountains that run down to the sea. With its particular micro-climate, featuring mild temperatures and moderate rainfall accompanied by sea breezes, our muscatels take on a peerless freshness accompanied by outstanding floral and citrus flavours.
At Vins del Comtat, we also have several plots planted with white grapes in our vineyard in Beniarrés, where the Viognier, Macabeo and Chardonnay varieties grow. These new varieties are yielding outstanding results.
When crafting our white wines, we pay close attention to the harvest date in order to achieve an excellent balance between acidity and alcohol content. We refrigerate the must in our temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks in order to preserve their wonderful aromas and attain extraordinary freshness.
